Breakfast is in the name of a B&B, so it better be worthy of that title, and it is our passion to make it so. At Sheridan House Inn, we believe that “one size fits all” doesn’t apply when it comes to this important meal. This philosophy is what helps to make our adults-only bed and breakfast one of the best places to stay near Sedona, Arizona and the Grand Canyon. We offer our guests choices for breakfast – choices of where to eat, what to eat, and even flexibility on when to eat. Some people have serious and very necessary dietary restrictions; the last thing we’d want for our guests is for them not to be feeling their best when visiting a place as breathtaking as the Grand Canyon.
Others strive to eat healthy, knowing that food is fuel for their bodies, while other guests decide that they want to indulge when they are on vacation. We sincerely wish to satisfy the needs and desires of our guests when it comes to our breakfast. Please know that we will be continually changing, improving and modifying our breakfast service to better accommodate each of you.
We serve breakfast from 8:00-9:00 AM (and sometimes a little earlier by request) in the dining room or on the deck in the warmer months. If seated outside, you will enjoy a “tree-house” environment as well as some local bird-watching; you may just have to linger for a while, so feel free to ask for another French press of coffee. Your meal will be cooked-to-order for you with what you selected on the menu the night before. We have rotating menus, so it’s not the same every day, and they also change with the seasons; we are continually experimenting with new entrees, so returning guests can choose from new options. One thing that doesn’t change is our melt-in-your-mouth “Sheridan Breakfast Puffs,” which you are served to eat as your French press finishes brewing.
After your puff, you can enjoy coffee or tea along with fresh-squeezed orange juice or smoothies. Next, you can choose one of our seasonal starters, which includes seasonal oatmeal, fruit cups, baked grapefruit, fried apples, seasonal parfaits with granola, whipped ricotta with fresh berries, or everyone’s favorite “breakfast ice cream,” which you’ll have to taste to believe, a real summer treat. You’ll choose from 4 entrees – a sweet dish, savory item, an American Southwest specialty, and a healthier or lighter fare breakfast.
If you want to treat yourself, or a special someone, let us know on your menu what time you’d like to be pampered with the same meal as a “breakfast in bed;” we’ll be delighted to deliver that to your room at no extra cost.
If you need an early “To-Go-Breakfast” (juice, pastry, fruit & yogurt), please advise us the day before, and we will place it in your in-room refrigerator the night before.
Vegetarian? Vegan? Gluten free? Paleo? Dairy-free? Grain-free?
Everything on our menu has the option to be made as a vegetarian dish, and we can prepare vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free items for you, whenever possible, although we may have to make substitutions at times…just call or email if you can ahead of time so we make sure we have the necessary ingredients on hand. Please understand that we are not a full-service kitchen and cannot guarantee no cross contamination, but we will make every attempt to accommodate your needs.
Refreshments don’t stop at breakfast
From the comfort of your room, enjoy complimentary tea and coffee anytime with your in-room Keurig. We also have a hot/cold water dispenser in the lobby, so help yourself to cold water, hot tea or hot chocolate anytime. In the hospitality area, we’ve got a selection of mixed snacks and candies all the time, and we put out homemade treats in the afternoon and evening every day. Help yourself.

Holiday gatherings and meals
If you will be staying at the Sheridan House Inn during major holidays, we will be in contact with any planned meals or offerings of additional “holiday cheer.”
Mark and Debbie Santy, the owners of Sheridan House Inn, believe that food brings people together, and can make or break your vacation time. Besides making breakfast the most important meal of the day, they have a desire to offer additional meal and food options, utilizing their licensed commercial kitchen and their love to “play with food.” Check back later to see if ideas for themed dinners, cooking-class weekends, and special occasion fine-dining meals become reality.
